Hey guys,

here are the suggestions Wattana gave us:

-Bring taxi into the frame already (intro)

-start with roaring engine-- transition to rock/punk soundtrack

-the frame with car rolling down the street, add a little pause

-car should slowly pull in to pick up old woman (car already in the frame)

-show bg moving behind the car (while driving)

-more close up on eyes...

-show shadow of cat moving away

-tire brakes (show in 3/4 view)

-cut to pan moving already

-end: close up old woman more

TAXI

Scene: Dark alley, night, low light, rainy.

[Narrator]
I was ready to go home. I drove down the same dark alley I always went through. It would have been like any other night except it was raining and there was a woman sheltering herself from the rain. I couldn’t just let her stay there while it was pouring; one more stop, no big deal.

CAB PICKS UP WOMAN. DRIVER TAKES OFF. BEFORE DRIVER CAN ASK THE WOMAN FOR ADDRESS SOMETHING RACES IN FRONT OF HIM. HE HIT’S THE BREAKS. CAB COMES TO A SCREECHING HALT. DRIVER LOOKS IN REARVIEW MIRROR AND IS SHOCKED TO SEE THAT THE WOMAN IS GONE.

[Narrator]
I checked my mirror to see if the woman was fine but she was no longer there.

HE LOOKS IN REARVIEW MIRROR AGAIN AND SEES THE WOMAN WITH A LITTLE BLOOD ON HER FACE. FRIGHTENED, THE DRIVER STARTS THE CAR.

SOMETHING CUTS IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER, AGAIN. HE HIT’S THE BREAKS. HE TURNS TO CHECK ON THE OLD LADY. SHE HAS DISAPPEARED AGAIN. AFTER A MOMENT HE GLANCES AT HIS REARVIEW MIRROR. THERE SHE IS AGAIN, WITH EVEN MORE BLOOD ON HER FACE.

THE DRIVER TURNS FORWARD, REALLY PANICKED. HE THINKS TO HIMSELF, AS HE STEPS ON THE GAS:

[Narration]
It has been a long day I’m just imagining things, there’s no bloody woman!

THE WOMAN STARES AT HIM, TELLS HIM TO STOP. THE DRIVER STOPS THE CAB, BUT DOESN’T LOOK AT THE OLD WOMAN. THE DRIVER HEARS THE CAB DOORE OPEN. THE WOMAN GETS OUT. THE DRIVER HEARS THE DOOR SHUT.

[Woman]
Next time, before you take off make sure the passengers have their seat belts on!

THE DRIVER IS CONFUSED AND SHOCKED AFTER REALIZING WHAT HAD HAPPENED. HE SIGHS IN RELIEF AND TAKES OFF.

Things to do: wk3-4

Storyboards for animatic:
Jonathan: intro – pick up lady
Maria: woman sliding in – first reappearance
Ryan: breaks for the 2nd time – lady wants to get out
Jose: lady gets out the car – lady speaks
Iris: ending

Character/Props development:
Jose: Old scary lady, Bloody Old lady
Vanessa: Punk driver (Bobby), cat, bunny
Jonathan: Taxi cab, “Mo’s license”

Background and Layout:
Jonathan & Ryan can lead it. Everyone else can just add more.

Audio:
Maria: Foley, environment stuff (cab door, rain, etc.)
Jonathan: Crazy punk music

Everyone else can add in if you want, too.

Other:
Experiment on color schemes, look up references/take pics, environment designs, camera angles, compiling stuff together, posting it up on blogspot (coz we suck at posting haha). Animatic can look sketchy but clean lines would be awsomer J. Good luck yall. Vanessa and Jose, please post up references ASAP.
